KAAR Benevolent Fund
KAAR is pleased to announce the establishment of the Knoxville Area Association of REALTORS® Benevolent Fund. This unique fund is one of only a dozen of its kind at REALTOR® associations nationwide. The KAAR Benevolent Fund will provide assistance to KAAR members and their families, who can demonstrate severe financial hardship due to prolonged illness, catastrophic event or accident, or similar occurrence beyond their control.
“A resource of this magnitude will be a huge benefit for members in times of need.” said Lyle Irish, KAAR CEO.
The KAAR Benevolent Fund relies solely on the donations from the community and has been approved as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, making all contributions tax deductible.
The Fund’s Board of Directors is responsible for promoting its existence, coordinating special fundraising projects, and for the confidential approval and administration of any financial assistance. Initial Board of Directors members are Jim Oakley, Marianne Azambuja, Betsy Coleman, Mansour Hasan, Pat McGill, and Diana Traylor. KAAR CEO Lyle Irish will serve as the Executive Director of the Fund.

To make a contribution, you can call the KAAR office and pay with a credit card, or mail in a check, made out to KAAR Benevolent Fund.
A very special thanks to the KAAR affiliates for their fundraising efforts to help make sure the Fund starts off with money in its coffers. All KAAR members should keep an eye out for several future fun and interesting fundraisers already in the works by the affiliates.
