2024 Election of Directors and Officers

East Tennessee REALTORS 2024 Board of Directors ElectionThis year’s election of East Tennessee REALTORS Officers and Directors will be August 28-30. As in the past, voting will be run by a third-party online vendor. Monday morning, August 28 members will receive an email from the voting vendor with login credentials.

This year there will be election of a First Vice President (serves as President-elect in 2025 and President in 2026) and two general Directors. The East Tennessee REALTORS Nominating Committee (ETNR), per the requirements set forth in the association’s Bylaws, is pleased to report the following candidates for elected positions on the ETNR Board of Directors.

First Vice President Slate - Chris Morton vs. Angel Scott
General Director Slate A - Betsy Coleman (unopposed)
General Director Slate B - Cyndi Sweet (unopposed)

 

The Nominating Committee interviews applicants for all positions and selects the best candidates for the individual positions based on the applicants’ industry and association experience, letters of recommendations, and individual applicant interviews.

First Vice President

Angel Scott

Angel Scott

Angel, Principal Broker of EXP Realty, LLC, has been a REALTOR for 10 years. She is completing her 3-year term as a member of the association’s Board of Directors. Angel holds the SRS, GRI, ABR, and C2EX designations and certifications. She served as 2021 President of the Women’s Council of REALTORS. In addition, she is a founder and will serve as 2023-2025 President of the Greater Knoxville Realtist (local chapter of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers). Angel served on the association’s MLS committee, Grievance committee, and the DEI Presidential Advisory Group. In addition, at the state level she serves on the Professional Standards committee, Broker Forum, and is currently a member of the Tennessee REALTORS Board of Directors. Angel is a graduate of the Tennessee REALTORS A.R.E.A. leadership program.

Chris Morton

Chris Morton

Chris, Principal Broker of Crye-Leike, Inc. REALTORS, has been a REALTOR for 8 years. He is completing his 3 year term as a member of the association’s Board of Directors. Chris holds the ABR, CRS, RENE, C2EX, GRI, SRS, SRES, MRP, AWHD designations and certifications, and is a CCIM candidate. He served on the association’s MLS committee and Governmental Affairs committee, including a year as Chair. In addition, he is currently a member of the Tennessee REALTORS Board of Directors. Outside of his service to the REALTOR association, Chris served on the Board of Directors of the Oak Ridge Chamber.

Betsy Coleman

Betsy, Broker/Owner of Betsy Coleman Realty Co., has been a REALTOR for 27 years. She previously served on the association’s Board of Directors as Anderson County Chapter Chair. Betsy holds the ABR designation. A current member of the MLS committee, she also served on the Grievance and Professional Standards committees, and as a member of the Commercial Presidential Advisory Group appointed to evaluate the association’s location and facilities. Betsy is Treasurer of the association’s Benevolent Fund. She has served as a member of the Tennessee REALTORS Board of Directors. Outside of her service to the REALTOR association, Betsy is active in her community, serving on Rotary International, a volunteer for the Free Medical Clinic, baseball coach for the Oak Ridge Boys and Girls Club, and several years as Chair of the Girls, Inc. Parade of Trees.

Cyndi Sweet

Cyndi, Agent/Co-owner of LeConte Realty, LLC, has been a REALTOR for 9 years. She holds the ABR, GRI, SRES, SRS, AHWD, C2EX, ePro, and MRP designations and certifications. Cyndi served on the association’s MLS committee and was Co-chair of the DEI committee. Outside of her service to the REALTOR association, Cyndi is active in her community and received the association’s 2019 Good Neighbor award. She was a board member of Haven House (Maryville), serving 2 years as Secretary and 2 years as President. In addition, she was a board member of A Place at the Table (Knoxville), serving as President. Cyndi is a current board member of The LeConte Foundation.
