2015 Election of KAAR Officers & Director

A very important annual membership duty is at hand!  It is time to elect the 2015 KAAR Officers and Directors.  A newly elected President-elect and Treasurer will join Sally Sparks as President and Doyle Webb as Immediate Past President on the KAAR Leadership Team of Officers.  In addition, three (3) Directors will be elected for a three year term to join the returning Directorate.  The returning Directorate consists of John Adams, Kimberly Bell, Rusty Ensor, Jeff Grebe, Ed Mathews, Mike Pappas, Patricia Shepherd, Laura Slyman, Darrin Stryker, and Jim Wallace.

Members interested in running for President-elect or Treasurer should indicate their interest to me no later than Thursday, September 18 by submitting a photo and bio (500 words or less).  Please keep in mind that, per the KAAR Bylaws, a member can be a candidate for Treasurer or President-elect only AFTER he or she has completed at least two (2) years of service on the Board of Directors.

Members interested in running for Director should indicate their interest to me no later than Thursday, October 9th by submitting a photo and bio (500 words or less).   The KAAR Bylaws require candidates to have been a REALTOR member for a minimum of two (2) years and to have served on at least two (2) KAAR committees.  In addition, all candidates for Director will need to complete a brief candidate orientation at KAAR.

This year’s online voting procedures will be the same as last year.   As a reminder, in order to login and vote, members will need their NRDS number and a randomly assigned PIN generated by the online voting vendor.

The online polls for the President-elect and Treasurer positions will open Monday, October 6th at 9:00 a.m. and remain open through Friday, October 10th at 5:00 p.m.   Members will receive an email the morning the polls open with voting instructions and their PIN.

Following the election of President-elect and Treasurer, President Doyle Webb or I will contact the candidates with the results.  Upon completion of these calls, the election winners will be announced to the membership along with  the number of votes received.  The vote totals for the unsuccessful candidates will not be announced.

The online polls for three (3) Directors to serve three year terms will open Monday, October 27th at 9:00 a.m. and remain open through Friday, October 31st at 5:00 p.m.  When the polls open on Monday morning for the election of the Directors, members will again receive an email with voting instructions and their PIN.

Following the election of the three (3) Directors, President Doyle Webb or I will contact the candidates with the results.  Upon completion of these calls, the election winners will be announced to the membership along with  the number of votes received.  The vote totals for the unsuccessful candidates will not be announced.
