The Investment &
Financial Analysis Course (2 days) to obtain the Certified International Property
Specialist (CIPS) Designation will be taught at the Knoxville Area
Association of REALTORS® on August 11-12, 2008 by David Segrest, CIPS, of
Segrest International, Inc. David is an
international consultant whose transactions involve persons and properties from
almost every region of the world. He
specializes in the acquisition, disposition and management of income properties
with an emphasis on net-leased properties and 1031 exchanges.
In order to receive the CIPS
Designation, you must take The Essentials course, the Investment and Financial
Analysis course, and three “country” courses.
After The Essentials course, the courses may be taken in any order. You must prove three international sales
after passing all of the necessary coursework.
Investment and Financial Analysis – This two-day course will provide the tools needed
to present investment information to international clients—in their currency
and area. This is the second of two
required courses for the designation.
You will learn how to measure investment performance, prepare financial
projections, and understand the effects of taxes and exchange rates on
investment. An HP-10BII Calculator is
required for the course.
The cost for the two-day CIPS Investment
& Financial Analysis course will be $200. You may either register by mail with a check
made out to “KAAR” or by faxing in the registration form with your credit card
information.
All registrations must be in the KAAR Office no later
than August 4, 2008 in order to ensure adequate course booklets for each
attendee.
All cancellations must be in writing, and there will
be a $25 processing fee deducted from the refund. There will be no refund after August 4, 2008.
